Thanks for joining us on the BBQ Pit. We hope it’s a short stop and you find your way to a good meal real soon.

Barbecue is more than just a food. It’s history, heritage, and culture of the places from which it comes. It’s passed down from one generation to another, and everyone does it a little differently.

Our intent is to collect the most complete list of Barbecue restaurants and food trucks on the internet, and eventually see what we can learn from the data. According to the internet, there are 4 major styles: Carolinas, Memphis, Kansas City, and Texas. Even though you can go out to eat in South Carolina and eat Kansas City style ribs or Texas brisket along with your Mustard sauced pulled pork, we know that these styles tend to originate from a place. It’s also common to have multiple sauces, but we’d like to know which the locals prefer, and which was passed down to the chef through generations.

First step is to get the listing up and working. Contact us if you’d like to add, update, (or remove) your restaurant. We’ll be very grateful if you’ll let us use a pictures of your place and let us know what style of ‘cue you consider yours to be, and what sauces you offer.

Thanks, and enjoy finding your ‘cue!
